1. About Sakura
Sakura (celebrating a life together) is a personal hobby project built and operated by Simon van Meegdenburg as an individual developer. It is not a commercial product. By using Sakura, you are using a passion project maintained in someone's spare time.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account on Sakura, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. You must accept these terms before your account is created.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Sakura.
4. Your account
- You may hold only one account per person.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- You must provide a valid email address.
- If you believe your account has been compromised, contact contact@sakuracalt.com immediately.
5. The service
Sakura allows you to record shared activities, track milestones, and mark meaningful dates together. As a hobby project, Sakura may experience downtime or interruptions without advance notice. You are encouraged to export your data regularly.
6. Pricing
Sakura is currently free to use. This may change in the future. If a paid requirement is introduced, registered users will be notified in advance and given the opportunity to export all their data before any charge takes effect.
7. Your content
You own the content you submit to Sakura. Sakura does not use your content for advertising, machine learning training, or sharing with third parties.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Sakura unlawfully, access another user's data without authorisation, upload harmful or infringing content, or circumvent technical constraints such as the registration cap.
9. Your data rights
Export. You may export all data associated with your relationship at any time from your account settings.
Deletion. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Deleting your account will:
- Permanently remove your authentication credentials and any personal data tied specifically to you.
- Preserve shared relationship data for any remaining partner, if one exists.
- Delete all relationship data, including uploaded photos, if you are the last member of the relationship.
10. Limitation of liability
Sakura is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Simon van Meegdenburg shall not be liable for loss of data, loss of access, or service interruption arising from your use of Sakura.
11. Registration cap
Sakura is intentionally limited to 50 registered users at launch. When the cap is reached, self-registration is closed and visitors are directed to a waitlist.
12. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. If a change materially affects your rights, registered users will be notified by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Netherlands.
